Gift Card Support via GiveX (1529)

This release introduces support for allowing guests to pay for orders and table checks with gift cards powered through GiveX.  Through our gift card payment system guests will be able to pull available balances of their gift cards and use a portion or all of their gift card balance as payment towards an order or table check.

Payments made via a gift card will be visible for restaurants in our updated Transactions report in the Ready Dashboard.  In the event that a refund is required or an order is cancelled, full refunds can be made through the Transactions report (partial payments are not supported for gift card refunds).

At this time, locations integrating to their POS through Omnivore will be able use GiveX as a gift card provider for their location.

To configure GiveX gift card payments for your location(s), we are introducing a new Payment Processing screen within the Location Settings page where you can setup and configure your gift card provider.  For more information on this new settings screen, check out our Payment Processing Settings article.
