Orders are managed via the order status to track the progress of an order throughout its fulfillment lifecycle

Order statuses can be changed in one of two ways:

  1. via the Orders screen by clicking on the order status, located at the very right-side of the order within the orders list
  2. via the Order Details screen by clicking the appropriate order status button

There are four order statuses:

  1. Pending
    1. This is the initial status that newly created orders are placed under
  2. In Progress
    1. This state is intended for use when the kitchen is preparing the order
  3. Ready
    1. This state is intended for when order preparation is complete and the order is ready for pickup or delivery
  4. Completed
    1. This state is intended for when the order is fulfilled and the guest has their order
    2. Selecting this state will close the order and remove the order from the Upcoming orders view

 

Order Statuses & SMS Notifications

If your location currently has our SMS Notifications feature enabled, depending on the specific configuration, progressing orders through these different order statuses will trigger a notification message to be sent to the guest letting them know the updated status of their order.
