# Shared Menus - Copying Menus
To quickly get started with setting up the new location, you can copy the menu from another location. If that location has items, modifiers or menus assigned to it from the menu builder, they will automatically be assigned to the new location. This setting is found in the **Location Menus Section.** Select the overflow menu (...) and select **Create Menu from Copy** to copy the menu from one location to another.
### Copying and POS mapping
When we copy a menu, if the POS information in the two locations is similar, our system tries to re-link your menu items to the POS in the new location. The copier will check for similarities in **POS ID** and **Name in the POS. **If the POS has an item "Yam Fries" in both locations, items copied in Ready from one location to another will be automatically linked to the 'Yam Fries" POS item in the new location.
We always suggest checking a menu after copying, to ensure that the POS items mapped correctly. If the POS item did not map correctly, it will show as below with a message that it has no POS link
