The Order Settings tab within the Location Settings screen allows for the configuration of the SMS messages that are sent to clients for various order statuses. Order SMS Notifications is an available paid feature for locations using our Mobile Ordering functionality.
Accessing Order Settings
The Order Settings tab of the Location Settings screen is visible only if:
- The location currently is subscribed to the Order SMS Notifications feature
- The user has one of the appropriate security permissions assigned:
- Location Settings - Order Settings (Full Access)
- Location Settings - Order Settings (Restricted Access)

SMS Notifications
The SMS Notifications feature for ordering allow you to send SMS messages to guests as their order progresses through the following statuses/events:
- Order placed
- Order in progress
- Order is ready
- Order cancellation
- Order pickup date/time change
The use of the SMS Notifications require your location's order configuration to ask for the guests phone number in the Pickup Details screen. If your location's order flow is not configured to ask for a guest's phone number, please contact Ready Support (support@readytopay.com) to have this configured.
Configuring SMS Notifications
Clicking Edit in the SMS Notifications screen will allow you to configure SMS Messages for the location, with the following available configuration options:

Determines whether the location utilizes the company default message configuration or if the location is using custom messaging.

Message Settings shows the currently configured order status SMS messages. When the Message Source is set to Company Defaults, the order status SMS messages cannot be edited and are just a view of the company-level configuration (see Message Source above for information on editing company default settings) When the Message Source is set to Custom Messaging, you can toggle for each available order tatus/event whether an SMS message will be sent, and provide the SMS message to be used. All message fields are limited to 160 characters. For the Send message when pick up time is updated message, you can use the placeholder text of %TIME% to place the updated order pickup time within the message. |
